William Richard Tacon
William Tacon, qualified as an English Chartered Accountant in 1977. He spent the majority of his career in the UK, with Ernst & Young, one of the “Big 4” international accounting firms where he became a partner in 1987.
Since retiring from full time work in 2011, William has been a volunteer and active donor for Loden foundation and also the Bhutan Foundation. He is working directly with a number of CSOs helping them develop their strategies and is also mentoring a number of Bhutanese entrepreneurs supported by Loden.
He worked with many highly entrepreneurial clients, some of whom went on from small beginnings to create multi-national companies quoted on stock exchange in London. He was involved in advising management buy-out teams, raising debt and equity capital, re-financing, dealing with financial and other challenges and also re-structuring, using insolvency process. In short, he has worked with entrepreneurs from cradle to grave and at all stages in between.
William is the investor and director of the company. He gives technical support and advice to the AOS management.
